HIKING BJELASICA 5 DAYS- HUT TO HUT/ KATUN TO KATUN

About destination:

Mountain Bjelasica is one of the most beautiful mountains in Montenegro. This mountain, which peaks are over 2000m, represents a genuine challenge for mountaineers. Shadow valleys of Bjelasica are a right place for rest of groups and families. Here, you may enjoy in riding the horse, swimming in one of the lakes or even some games on the snow, since it is possible to find it on some spots even in August. Traditional mountain cabins are really tempting for tourists more details. The part of Bjelasica mountain which is protected, is National park Biogradska Gora which was declared a park in 1952 year. It is situated in a Northeast part of Montenegro, between rivers Tara and Lim, in the central part of Bjelasica’s mountain massif. It spreads over surface of 5,650 hectares. The most beautiful part of this park is Biogradsko Lake. Lake is situated at the 1094m of altitude and it’s surrounded by clean virgin forest which is one of the only three remained in Europe.

Description:

Day 1: arrival in Bijelo Polje.

Meet a guide and transfer to Mountain hut Cmiljace (Bjelasica Mountain). Dinner and enjoyment under the sky and stars.

Day 2. hiking from Cmiljace to Suvodo.

Breakfast will be in the hut. Start hiking to Suvodo, via Omar, Suvo Polje and Sisko lake. On the way enjoy in spectacular view to the peaks Crna glava (Black head), Mucnica, Crni vrh (Black peak), which are over 2000m of altitude. Fans of flowers will be very lucky and satisfied because there,exists hundreds of different speices of herbs. Lunch will be lunch package taken from katun. Arrival at the afternoon hours to katun of family Sekularac who will be our hosts. Refresh with the local handmade juice, milk or rakija. Dinner in katun.

Day 3. Suvodo- Rakite- Lalevića Dolovi

After breakfast and leaving our nice hosts, we start hiking to Rakita. On the way we will visit Sevarine lake, and have a stop in Katun Rakovic to have a refreshment and snack. Continue hike to Lalevica Dolovi which is located above of Biogradsko lake, the pearl of National park and all Bjelasica massif. Enjoy the nice view from Bendovac viewpoint. Accommodation and food in eko village Lalevica dolovi. Possibility for own small cottages (1-2 pax) or multibed rooms. Shared bathroom. Food prepared by hosts.

Day 4. Lalevica Dolovi- Vranjak

After breakfast and leaving our nice hosts, start hiking to Vranjak. The tour will goes via Svatovsko groblje, Zekova Glava and Troglava. On the way you can enjoy in spectacular view to the peaks, lakes but also to the Biogradska gora which is one of three remain forest in Europe Stay small cottages (2-4 pax). Shared bathroom. Food prepared by hosts.

Day 5. Vranjak- katun Goleš

After breakfast we start hiking to katun Goles, via Ogorela glava. Lunch will be in katun Goles, traditional meal. After lunch we continue to Biogradsko lake. This part will mostly go through the forest. Arrive on the lake at the late afternoon. Depending of your interest, possibility to walk around of the lake. END of program.
